Payment process
When booking an appointment for a Video Consultation, the patient must fill in their personal and credit card information. However, the payment will not be made at the time of the booking, but at the end of the Video Consultation with the payment module.
You will be able to charge the patient the price of the Video Consultation indicated in your profile, or a lower amount depending on the case. This choice is up to you, but it must be clearly explained to the patient. However, the maximum amount you can charge the patient will never exceed the amount indicated in your profile. Below is the payment option that allows you to charge the patient:
This option appears at the bottom left of your screen when you perform a Video Consultation. The system offers you 4 options:
- 0.00 mxn (0 €)
- 175.00 mxn (10 €): Half of the maximum amount (350.00 mxn in our example)
- 350.00 mxn (20 €): The maximum amount
- The Other option is a free field (it cannot be higher than your maximum amount).
Please note that it is essential to select one of the options, otherwise the patient will not be charged!
1st phase of the online payment activation
To activate the online payment from your account you must follow these steps:
1.Go to the User Menu and select Statistics.
2.Click on Online payment. PIC
3.Then click on Complete the configuration (Screens from Sandratest).PIC
4.You will then be presented with a 4 step process to activate your Stripe account:
Step 1: Configure your Stripe account, click on the Activate button.
Step 2: Accept the terms of use and click on the Next button.
Step 3: To activate your Stripe account, you will be asked to enter your card number (on which you wish to receive online payments) and make a one-time account activation payment of $99.00mxn. Click on the Pay $99 button.
Step 4: At this point, you have completed the first phase of your account setup. By clicking Finish Now, you can move on to the second phase.
In the second and final step we explain how to link your bank account with Stripe's online payment system.
2nd phase of the online payment activation
At this stage your bank account will be linked to the online payment system.
Once you have set up and activated your Stripe account, all that remains to be done is to link it to your doctoranytime account.
To do this you need to fill in the following information to continue:
- Type of entity (Individual, Self-employed, Company).
- Telephone number.
- E-mail address.
After completing the above fields, click Next.
You will immediately receive a six-digit number on your cell phone, which you must enter in the following field:
If you have any problems receiving the code, click on Resend code or go back and make sure you have entered the correct number by clicking on the Use another mobile number option.
Case 1: If you have filled the Type of entity field as Individual or Self-employed
You will be asked for some personal data. Please note that the date of birth is filled in as follows: DD = day, MM = month, YYYYY = year.
After clicking next, you must select your Industry in the respective field. Then select Medical Services and the appropriate category.
Case 2: If you have filled the Type of entity field as Company
You will be asked for some information about the company and the person in charge. Please note that the date of birth is filled in as follows: DD = day, MM = month, YYYYY = year.
If you wish, you can add more company members, by clicking Add an employer and Add a director.
However, you can continue without completing the above information.
Once you have filled in the fields corresponding to the Natural Person entity or those corresponding to the Company entity, you must fill in your IBAN (without spaces between the characters) and click Save.
You have reached the final stage of creating your Stripe account. You will be presented with a summary of all the information you have entered so far. You can check and modify the information if necessary.
This summary also allows you to finalize the creation of your account by updating the Management and ownership tab.
You must then click on the Update button to proceed with the verification of your account. You can then verify your identity by clicking on Verify Now and Get Started.
You can validate your identity by uploading your passport, driver's license or identification card.
You will also be asked to attach a proof of address to validate the information provided. Acceptable documents may be an invoice or a bank statement. The document you choose must be dated within the last six months and must be different from the document used to prove your identity. Incomplete documents are not accepted.
Once your account has been verified, you can finish creating your Stripe account by clicking on the Done tab.
You have successfully created your Stripe account. 🎉
